Hiking along the The Sheep Trail is wonderful fun, and Park Reservoir is not far at all from Salt Lake City. Having a good time in the Wasatch Range is trouble-free. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Cottonwood Creek. Lakes? Sure, Baskin Reservoir is close by. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place to camp here at Park Reservoir is Bridger Lake       Campground - Wasatch-Cache National Forest, and if you need a location to stay Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is a pleasant choice. A brilliant close by hotel is Residence Inn Salt Lake City Cottonwood, and a tour to Casto Spring will fill your spirit with glorious feelings. If you're here at Park Reservoir and you like golf, you can check out Mountain Dell Golf Course, and Park Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Box Elder Campground                  - Wasatch-Cache National Forest is a good local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Head up to Snowbird and strap some skis to your feet, and a good spot close by is Carrigan Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, California National Historic Trail is a national park worth stopping at, and a day on the slopes of Alta is just what you need. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Wasatch Range has to offer. Going for a hike along the Lake Desolation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Big Cottonwood Creek. It is very dried out here at Park Reservoir usually; the month with most of the rain is April, and July is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do close to Park Reservoir. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Terminal Reservoir. At Park Reservoir through the summertime highs are in the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
