     Why not take a refreshing hike along the Aquarius Trail. Lakes are perfect; Tri-Corner Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Ottos Reservoir. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Ottos Reservoir reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 30's, and night lows during the wintertime for Ottos Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ottos  
   Reservoir; Pollywog Lake Trail is a good local trail, and Burnt Knoll is pretty and can be seen from here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Torrey - Capital Reef, and you can stay the night at Barker Reservoir Campground.
After a long day outdoors Wonderland Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and not far from Ottos Reservoir you'll find Rock Hollow Reservoir which is a beautiful lake. Ottos Reservoir in fact
 
               is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Good hiking is available along the Black Burn Trail, and Escalante State Park is a splendid campground nearby.
Ottos Reservoir is pretty arid mostly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.
