Don't leave Oak Creek Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail, and at Oak Creek Dam right next door to Oak Creek Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Oak Creek Reservoir. Oak Creek Reservoir is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Pleasant       Creek Campground is a fine local campground. Lakes? Sure, Scout Lake is close by. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Fremont River, and why not a little side trip to Behanin Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Browns Point is in the neighborhood and always nice to stop at, and not far from Oak Creek Reservoir you'll come across Round Lake which is a lovely lake. Oak Creek Reservoir is right next door to Oak Draw which is unquestionably worth checking                  out, and Best Western Capitol Reef Resort is a pleasant site to get some rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Oak Creek Reservoir; Stair Trail is a great local trail. If you need a location to stay Torrey-Days Inn Capitol Reef N.P. is a good choice; there's fine hiking along the Aquarius Trail. A magnificent spot like Bear Flat here at Oak Creek Reservoir is too brilliant to miss, and if you came to camp Oak Creek Campground is a perfect location to do that. Oak Creek Reservoir gets very little rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February.
