During the long summer days here at Nicks Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Nicks Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wonderland Inn; you can stay       the night at Barker Reservoir Campground. Nicks Pond is pretty arid regularly; the month with most of the rain is September, and January meanwhile is the driest month. A short trip to Forshea Spring is always worthwhile, and unsurprisingly, this is a great region for folks who like lakes, Forshea Spring Reservoir is a lake around here. Near Nicks Pond you hit upon wonderful spots like Forshea Draw, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Burn Trail. What a                  site this is for outdoors folks.
