Freds Flat is a fine site to stretch your legs a bit, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cottonwood Creek. You need to have a look at Flat Iron Point while you're here at New Canyon Reservoir, and there's whitewater on Ferron Creek for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. | | can go for a hike along the Dairy Trail. Lakes are nice; John August Lake is a lake that's near New Canyon Reservoir. At New Canyon Reservoir you can distinguish Dusterburgs Hill, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Harmon Trail. Why not camp at Camp Discovery while you're here at New Canyon Reservoir, and do put some time aside to spend at The Big Spring since you're here at New Canyon Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. and the night is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at New Canyon Reservoir plunge into the 10's. Not
