The beauty of Mud Lake attracts many people from all around. A magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Ruby's Inn. Otter Lake is a fine lake close to Mud Lake, and a good place to have a look at close by is North Creek Draw. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Escalante State Park; going for a hike on the Black Burn Trail is always a great adventure. There are other places here than Mud Lake, for example Grass Lakes, and Barker Reservoir Campground

For the duration of the summertime months at Mud Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Mud Lake tend to be in the 10's.
