     Going for a hike on the Rocky Ford Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and not far from Mud Lake you'll locate Pacer Lake which is a wonderful lake. While you're here at Mud Lake it's a delightful idea to go to Mud Lake Flat, and there are other locations here than Mud Lake, for example Pacer Lake. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Mud Lake called the Black Burn Trail, and there  
   are pleasant locations to explore along the Burnt Hollow Trail. The scenery at Pacer Lake Reservoir Dam in the neighborhood of Mud Lake is pretty, and Mud Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Barker Reservoir Campground is a great local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Bryce Canyon is a good site to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Escalante State Park is a nice site
 
               to do that. During the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Mud Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's while Mud Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.
Mud Lake gets very little precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; January is the month with the least moisture.
