This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Boiling Spring. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Barker Reservoir Campground is a delightful spot for that. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake, and all through the night it cools down to                  the 50's.
