But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Mud Lake. This is a nice area for folks who like lakes. Anderson Meadow Reservoir is a lake around here, and Kents Lake Campground is a great campground here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Bullion Trail is a good local trail; do have a look at Middle Fork South Creek if you're here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful.       Good hiking is available along the Copes Dugway, and dry warm beds await you at Butch Cassidy's Hideout Motel. After a long day outdoors Bunkhouse Motel is a splendid spot to spend a night or two; there's great hiking along the Skyline National Recreation Trail. At Mud Lake you don’t see much rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and June is the month with the least moisture. A day on the slopes of Elk Meadows is just what you need; Mud Lake is                  a pleasant spot to camp, Little Reservoir Campground is a pleasant spot. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Mud Lake you obtain some tremendous water scenery at Anderson Meadow Dam. From Mud Lake you get a good view of Birch Creek Mountain, and Ranger Pasture is a nice site. All through the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Mud Lake with overnight lows in the 50's.
