After a long day outdoors Best Western Butch Cassidy Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and a pleasant visit to Horse Flat is a nice way to spend an afternoon. Near Mud Lake you locate the Pipeline Trail which is a great hiking trail, and the skiing at Elk Meadows is great. For the duration of the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Mud Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down       into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 10's. So many cool things to do here at Mud Lake, too great to be true. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Little Reservoir Campground, and North Fork Kane Canyon is unquestionably a delightful place to go to. If the weather is great here at Mud Lake, you can go for a hike along the Copes Dugway;                  dry warm beds await you at Beaver-Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. The Bullion Trail is a fine hiking trail near Mud Lake, and you can stay the night at Little Cottonwood Campground.
