Moonshine Waterhole is a lake worth visiting. After a long day outdoors Budget Host Book Cliff Lodge is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and Green River Koa Kampground is a brilliant campground here. Summertime highs at Moonshine Waterhole ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. | | the wintertime temperatures at Moonshine Waterhole sink into the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at Motel 6, and you can stay the night at Cedar Mountain Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don’t forget to go to Jackass Flat if you're here at Moonshine Waterhole, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Rafael River. At Moonshine Waterhole you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls throughout September while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
