     Going for a hike on the Pollywog Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and if you need a spot to stay Wonderland Inn is a great choice. And that's not all you can do here at Mitts Reservoir. Smooth Knoll Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and delightful hiking is available along the Black Burn Trail. Camping at Rimrock Rustic Inn is always a delightful experience. If you get bored of Mitts Reservoir, you could also have a look at nearby  
   Upper Balsam Reservoir; you can go for a hike on the Aquarius Trail.
Summertime highs at Mitts Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Mitts Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Mitts Reservoir is pretty dry typically; most of the rain falls through August, and February is the month with the least moisture. This
 
               lake is so wonderful. From Mitts Reservoir you acquire a pleasant sight of Smooth Knoll, and a magnificent site to check out is Sage Hen Draw.
A delightful location to camp here at Mitts Reservoir is Blue Spruce Campground; Days Inn Torrey - Capital Reef is a good place to get some rest.
