Mine Valley Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. At Mine Valley Reservoir you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls through March, and the driest month of the year is June. Camping is available at Snow Canyon State Park, and RED MOUNTAIN RESORT AND SPA is a wonderful location to get some rest. Mine Valley Reservoir is right by the South Boundary Trail, and if you're dropping by from St. George, you won't be the only one.

| | This lake is so wonderful. And that's not all you can do here at Mine Valley Reservoir. Why not camp at Gunlock Campground if you're here at Mine Valley Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Green Valley Resort Vacation Rentals is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. Mine Valley Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Reef Reservoir is a nearby lake, and if you get bored of Mine Valley Reservoir you could also check out close by Quail Reservoir. | |

A splendid place in close proximity to Mine Valley Reservoir is Mine Valley, and whitewater paddling is good on Virgin River. This lake is so wonderful. Jarvis Peak is clearly visible from Mine Valley Reservoir, and a spree to Cave
Spring will fill your soul with fine feelings. Throughout the summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Mine Valley Reservoir, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mine Valley Reservoir are in the 20's.

Ivins Reservoir
 | As of May 2009, water level is high. Water is very clean with minimal pollution. Visitor numbers are rising!...As of June, 2007, the water level has dropped significantly due to irrigation, evaporation, and insufficient rainfall.......t Lake City. Some Kayenta retirees, whom I've met on early morning strolls, have kindly shared their friendship and some interesting birding tidbits. Situated on the northeast fringe of the Mojave Desert, during hot summer months you can trek amid cool vegetation and tall trees at the lake's east perimeter. In this area you may find an interesting array of birds perched on branches overhead. Voices really carry over the water there, so if you don't want conversations broadcasted, be sure to keep your voice low even when trekking in the heavy brush. On the western side, there is a rudimentary launching dock where you can strap on a life jacket and paddle out onto the lake, if you wish to bring a non-motorized water vessel. Also, there is a pier to cast a fishing line when the water is stocked with Bass. There's a saying in southern Utah that if you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes and it'll change. At Ivins Reservoir, the summer sun rises over the water with blinding intensity and sets with tranquility in the east. One moment you're looking up a clear blue... |
