Don't leave Mill Pond without first going for a hike along the Icy Hill Dugway; if you've had enough of Mill Pond, Dead Lake is close by. And that's not all you can do here at Mill Pond. Whitewater paddling is fine on Uinta River, and Mill Pond is a good site to camp, Paradise Campground is a good site. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mill Pond, and all through the night       it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Mill Pond temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Uinta Highline Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn is a splendid site to spend a night or two. Around Mill Pond you don’t get a lot of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and February on the                  other hand is the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uinta Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Western Hills Motel, and Paradise Park Dam is a site that is close to Mill Pond. All the outdoors exciting things in the Uinta Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Go for a hike on the Dry Fork Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mill Pond has to offer, you can camp at Whiterocks Campground.
