Merrials Pond is ordinarily a relatively dried out place; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. You'll meet a lot of people from Price here. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you came for an overnight stay Forks Of       Huntington - Manti-LaSal National Forest is a tremendous spot to camp, and going for a hike on the Blue Dugway is always a splendid adventure. Near Merrials Pond you find the Chris Otteson Trail which is a perfect hiking trail; whitewater paddling is wonderful on San Rafael River. This lake is so wonderful. A great location next to Merrials Pond is Cedar Hollow, and on a wonderful day you obtain a magnificent panorama of Black Hills from Merrials Pond. Throughout                  the warm months highs here at Merrials Pond reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Merrials Pond.
