Not far from Medicine Lakes, you'll discover Beaver Lake which is a beautiful lake, and the La Sal Mountains is a major highlight of the region close by. Medicine Lakes is pretty dried up commonly; October is the month that gets the most rain while February is typically the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for       you then we recommend Dolores River, and dry warm beds await you at Sorrel River Ranch Resort. What a place this is for outdoors people. Why not camp at Warner Campground if you're here at Medicine Lakes, and Red Stone Inn is a nice spot to get some rest. Visiting Arches National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Medicine Lakes, for example Dark Canyon Lake, and La Sal                  Pass is a great site to spend some time. The warmest time of the year at Medicine Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
