Do pay a visit to Arches National Park if you're here at Medicine Lakes, obviously you could also have a look at Dark Canyon Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. You get a splendid view of Mount Peale from Medicine Lakes, and Warner Campground is a great local campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Medicine Lakes. When the night sets in temperatures       drop down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Medicine Lakes temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some magnificent whitewater; if you need a place to stay Red Stone Inn is a fine choice. Why not camp at Oowah Campground while you're here at Medicine Lakes. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.                  Sorrel River Ranch Resort is a splendid place to get some rest; a lake nearby is Beaver Lake. Medicine Lakes is ordinarily a rather waterless spot; most of the rain falls through October, and February is the month with the least moisture.
