Meadow Lake

You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Uinta Mountains. Lakes are great; Craig Lake is a lake that's right next door to Meadow Lake. Camping is available at Uinta Canyon Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Beaver Lake. On Uinta River close by you encounter the 8.5-mile-in-distance Uinta Valley Campground to Power Plant section of category I-III whitewater. This
segment of Uinta River is not a place for beginners to come whitewater boating unaccompanied. Of course, whitewater boating is cool but hazardous; check conditions prior to departure.
