Jolly Spring is a beautiful place to take a look at while you're at McDonald Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Smith Hotel Bed and Breakfast. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave McDonald Lake without first going for a hike along the Agua Canyon Connecting Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Le Vanger Lakes. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area       close to McDonald Lake has to offer. Not much precipitation falls here at McDonald Lake; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. Johnson Canyon is a tremendous site to explore; Glendale Koa Kampground is a brilliant campground here. All through the warmest time of the year at McDonald Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the                  40's; during the dark hours in the winter at McDonald Lake temperatures drop to the 10's.
