For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here       at Matt Warner Reservoir. All year is a good time in the Uinta Mountains if you like the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Red Creek Campground is always a great experience; there are brilliant locations to discover along the Lowline Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area close to Matt Warner Reservoir has to offer. There's whitewater on Green River for all you thrill seekers, and good water scenery is available                  at Matt Warner Dam in the neighborhood of Matt Warner Reservoir. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uinta Mountains. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too glorious to be true. If you came to camp Little Hotel Campground is a delightful spot to do that; tremendous hiking is available along the Red Rock Nature Trail. Matt Warner Reservoir gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through April, and the driest month of the year is January.
