Get yourself into a kayak and hit Strawberry River, and since you're here, you could also go to gorgeous Hayes Ponds. This site is peerless, just explore all the fun stuff to do in close proximity to Lower Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Greenwell Inn & Convention Center; Blackburn Hollow is a nice location to visit. Lower Lake is pretty dried out ordinarily; of all the months in       a year September is the one with the most rain, and March is the month with the least moisture. If you came for an overnight stay Starvation State Park is a great site to camp; Starvation Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop at. For the duration of the summertime at Lower Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Lower Lake                  during the wintertime ordinarily descend into the 0's.
