Barney Lake is a tremendous lake near Lower Hunts Lake, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Fairfield Inn & Suites Richfield. There's so much to do here at Lower Hunts Lake that you need       to camp here for a while, Monrovian Park Campground is a wonderful location for that. The slopes of Elk Meadows are so inviting noone can resist, and everyone loves Fitzgeral Park. Lower Hunts Lake is mostly a rather dry site; September is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Lower Hunts Lake. This place, Lower Hunts Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors amusing stuff.                  Lower Hunts Lake lays in the shadow of the Bald Knolls, and going for a hike on the Third Lefthand Fork Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little visit to Monkey Fork Dry Canyon while you're here at Lower Hunts Lake; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Serviceberry Trail. Lower Hunts Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mystic Hotsprings is a good local campground; close by you stumble on the Smith Canyon Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Summertime at Lower Hunts Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lower Hunts Lake descend into the 10's.
