Why not stop by Lake Louise if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salina Creek, and don't leave Lake Louise without first going for a hike along the Great Western Trail. Good hiking is available along the Meadow Gulch Salt Gulch Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Johnson Reservoir Campground is a good site to camp.
