A wonderful nearby hotel is Cowboy Homestead, and the Black Burn Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. If you wish for a little side journey, try Pacewell Draw, and Lost Lake is a great site to camp, Escalante State Park is a great site. During the long summer days highs here at Lost Lake reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in       the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Lost Lake. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. The top of Lost Knoll is easily distinguished from Lost Lake, and going for a hike on the Aquarius Trail is always a great adventure. Not much rainfall falls here at Lost Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
