Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lost Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Lost Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. The Pollywog Lake Trail is a good hiking trail right next door to Lost Lake; Escalante       State Park is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Lost Lake you can take a hike along the Black Burn Trail, and Lost Knoll is clearly visible from Lost Lake. Lost Lake is regularly a relatively waterless place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. Near Lost Lake you find the Aquarius Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and Lost Lake is a wonderful                  site to visit for more than one day, Barker Reservoir Campground is a wonderful site to camp nearby. But wait, there's more to do near Lost Lake.
