All the outdoors fun things near Long Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. The Indian Trail is a good hiking trail right next door to Long Lake; Browns Point is not far at all. There is a good hiking trail near Long Lake called the Aquarius Trail, and if you need a location to stay Torrey-Days Inn Capitol Reef N.P. is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Near Long Lake you discover the Stair Trail which is a nice       hiking trail, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Capitol Reef Resort. There are some good whitewater spots on Fremont River, and camping at Pleasant Creek Campground is always a splendid experience. Through the summer highs here at Long Lake reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Long Lake. Long Lake is perfect enough to                  spend more than a day at, Oak Creek Campground is a perfect local campground, and you don’t have to go far from Long Lake to make out the water at Oak Creek Dam. Long Lake is pretty dehydrated usually; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
