If you are in Sanpete county it's always a good idea to stop by Lizard Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of picturesque Wrigley Hill near Lizard Lake is brilliant, and Lizard Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Ferron Reservoir Campground is a wonderful local campground. | | Dry Wash Trail is always a great adventure, and getting to Mill Stream from Lizard Lake is uncomplicated.
There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lizard Lake called the Blue Trail; there's whitewater on Cottonwood Creek for all you adrenaline people. On a brilliant day at Lizard Lake you can take a hike along the Dairy Trail, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Ferron Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Willow Lake is one of those nearby, and after a long day outdoors Gilly's Inn & Convenience Str. is a good place to spend a night or two.
There's so much to do here at Lizard Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Willow
Lake Campground is a good place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Willow Creek Inn. Just can't get enough of Lizard Lake. An interesting thing to go to close to Lizard Lake is Willow Lake Dam, and a pleasant journey to Singleton
Flat is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
During the long summer days here at Lizard Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs
during the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Lizard Lake tend to be in the 10's.
