If you come at the right time of year, Currant Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Slope Trail. Little Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains. Having a great time in the Uinta Mountains is simple. A striking lake like Big Lake in close proximity       to Little Lake is a great place to stop at; you can stay the night at Aspen Campground. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Not much rain falls here at Little Lake; throughout September this area sees the most rain, and March on the other hand is the driest. All through the warmest time of the year here at Little Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down                  into the 40's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Little Lake are in the 0's. Soar down the rapids of Duchesne River in a kayak; the top of Tabby Mountain is easily seen from Little Lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a nice day at Little Lake you can take a hike along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail, and Altamont Motel is a perfect spot to get some rest.
