I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Uinta Mountains. Paradise Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and lakes are such serene spots, why not check out Paul Lake. Stay the night at Whiterocks Campground, and don’t forget to stop at Blanchett Park while you're here at Little Elk Lake. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Uinta River,       and hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Elk Lake; Dry Fork Trail is a great local trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Uinta Mountains. A perfect nearby hotel is Best Western Inn, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Shale Dugway. At Little Elk Lake you don’t see much rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Be careful coming to Little Elk Lake,                  you might not ever wanna return back home again. There's always Paradise Park Dam to go to near Little Elk Lake, and you'll discover a picturesque lake called Kibah Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Through the warm months at Little Elk Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Little Elk Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
