Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lamb Lakes. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Lamb Lakes through the wintertime commonly sink into the 0's. There's so much to do here at Lamb Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Paradise Campground is a glorious location for that, and float down the rapids of Uinta River in a kayak. Inn is a tremendous choice, and since you're here at Lamb Lakes it's a wonderful idea to have a look at Weyman Park. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are brilliant; Deadman Lake is a lake that's close to Lamb Lakes, and there
are great spots to explore along the Icy Hill Dugway. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lamb Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Spirit Lake Campground, and going for a hike on the Dry Fork Trail is always a tremendous
adventure. That right there is lots of cool things already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all.

 | That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
Chepeta Lake
 | Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
