Ruths Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and after a long day outdoors Inn at Apple Creek Fillmore is a good site to spend a night or two. Any time is a splendid time at The Lakes if you go for the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rocky Trail, and if you came to camp Meadow Creek Campground is a wonderful location to do that.       Black Cedar Hills Spring is an inspiring place to explore while here. There's so much to do here at The Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Wagons West RV Campground is a splendid spot for that. Do stop by Robins Lake next to The Lakes, it's a charming lake, and Buck Hollow is another great place to stop at nearby. High temperatures at The Lakes through the months of summer are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. Daytime highs                  throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at The Lakes temperatures descend to the 10's. The Lakes gets very little rain; during March this area sees the most rain; July is when it's the driest.
