Boren Mesa is clearly visible from Lake Oowah, and Warner Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. Why not check out Lake Oowah Dam if you're here, and if you're here, you might as well have a look at Shuman Gulch. Oowah Campground is a fine local campground; if you need a site to stay Sorrel River Ranch Resort is a splendid choice. Lake Oowah gets very little rainfall; during October this area sees the most rain;       February is when it's the driest. You can run the rapids of Dolores River near Lake Oowah; some of the water nearby flows, like Dry Fork Mill Creek. Summertime at Lake Oowah comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's; overnight lows at Lake Oowah through the wintertime typically sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful.                  Go for a hike on the Moab Slickrock Trail, and a trip to Arches National Park is worthwhile. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Lake Oowah has it all.
