Many people like to go to Kibah Lakes. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Uinta Mountains. If the weather is fine here at Kibah Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Shale Dugway, and Kibah Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Paradise Campground is a good local campground. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Kibah Lakes. While you're here at Kibah Lakes you can take a hike along

Mesa is a peak you can spot from Kibah Lakes, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Campground is always a magnificent experience, and getting to Reynolds Creek from Kibah Lakes is trouble-free. Kibah Lakes is a location that is pretty dry ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one
that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the summer months here at Kibah Lakes, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Kibah Lakes.

Little Elk Lake
 | That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
Chepeta Lake
 | Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
