The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Elk Meadows, and do pay a visit to Bryce Canyon National Park while you're here at Judd Pasture Troughs. Judd Pasture Troughs is pretty dry generally; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take       a refreshing hike along the Fairyland Loop Trail, and let's not forget Carter Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while here. Don't leave Judd Pasture Troughs without first checking out Casto Bluff, and Best Western Ruby's Inn is a nice location to get some rest. You could also go to Seed Lakes if you're here at Judd Pasture Troughs; it's close by, and do take a hike on the Horse Trail.
