Do stop by Jones Reservoir while you're in this part of Utah. Jones Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Wasatch Range. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting things to do in the Wasatch Range. Hit the slopes at Park City Mountain Resort in the vicinity; the Littles Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Smith Morehouse Trail. All the outdoors cool things near Jones Reservoir will keep you coming

| | back repeatedly. If you get bored of Jones Reservoir, you could also stop at nearby Lower Bennett Lindsay Reservoir, and camping at Lodge Pole Campground is always a wonderful experience. Jones Reservoir is pretty waterless usually; during the month of April you get the most rain around here, and August is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. Jones Reservoir is not the only place close by, Witts Lake is a close by lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Nobletts Creek Trail. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's
even more exciting things to do here in the Wasatch Range. Dry warm beds await you at Daniels Summit Lodge, and get wet paddling on Provo River. Summertime highs at Jones Reservoir generally tend to be in the 80's; the nighttime is
a little cooler of course, typically in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Jones Reservoir are in the 10's. Jones Reservoir is near Jones Dam which is a stunning place
absolutely worth taking a look at; Jones Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Jordanelle - Rockcliff Area is a glorious local campground.

After the bridge the log jams, second diversion dam and constant river splits can be fun in the right craft (13 ft raft, not recommended). Great rush!... This ski resort has stronger snowfall than the local average each snow season. The marvelous mountain surroundings of Utah and great ski trails have ski people coming from far and near. There are 5 independantly owned lodges at Alta, catering to a wide variety of clientelle. There aren’t any hotels in the vicinity, but if you're ok to drive a small length then no problem, but you'd better book ahead of going since these hotels fill up swiftly.
