If the weather is pretty, you get a magnificent panorama of Danish Knoll from John August Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Reeder Trail. John August Lake is pretty dry frequently; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here while July is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Loggers Fork Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and the Harmon Trail is a good hiking trail close by.

in the 80's; the nighttime is a bit colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at John August Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. So much enjoyable
stuff to do at John August Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Willow Creek Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and soar down the rapids of Cottonwood Creek in a kayak. If you get bored of John August Lake,
you could also stop at nearby Snow Lake, and paddling on Ferron Creek is so much fun. You should without doubt dedicate some time to Cherry Flat since you're here at John August Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything John August Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ferron Campground.
