     Jeffery Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. Jeffery Reservoir is a location that is relatively arid ordinarily; March is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Great Western Trail. There's so much to do here at Jeffery Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Elkhorn Campground is a nice site for that. One of the overriding marks of the surroundings  
   of Jeffery Reservoir is Solomons Temple, and a visit to Last Chance Desert rejuvenates the spirit.
You simply have to have a thing about Jeffery Reservoir. Capitol Reef National Park is one of the destinations near Jeffery Reservoir that are delightful to go to, and dry warm beds await you at Austin's Chuck Wagon Lodge. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Jeffery Reservoir; Meadow Gulch Salt Gulch Trail is a good local trail, and Jeffery Reservoir is fine
 
               enough to spend more than a day at, Elk Campground is a fine local campground. Whitewater paddling is good on Fremont River.
All through the summertime months highs here at Jeffery Reservoir reach the 90's while night lows are typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Jeffery Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Stair Trail, and Best Western Capitol Reef Resort is a glorious place to get some rest.
