All the outdoors entertaining things close to Hourglass Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Dry warm beds await you at Strawberry Bay Lodge, and you can go for a hike on the Littles Fork Trail. Hourglass Lake is a beautiful lake in the Uinta Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains. Going for a hike on the Smith Morehouse Trail is always a pleasant       adventure. During the summertime at Hourglass Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Hourglass Lake dip into the 10's. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Uinta Mountains. You could also take a look at Big Elk Lake if you're here at Hourglass Lake; it's close by, also                  Big Elk Lake Dam is worth stopping at if you're here. Lodge at Stillwater is a fine site to get some rest, and do set aside some time for Erickson Basin while you're here at Hourglass Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Camperworld Knotty Pine, and you can run the rapids of Provo River. Hourglass Lake is usually a reasonably dried out place; throughout April this area sees the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.
