Don't leave Horse Lake without first going for a hike along the Black Burn Trail, and Escalante State Park is a nice campground nearby. Horse Lake gets very little rainfall; all through August this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. It's always tremendous to go to Boiling Spring, and at Horse Lake you can catch a sight of Horse Creek Top.       For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Horse Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Horse Lake.
