If you like lakes and you're in this part of Utah you can check out Horse Lake. And if that's not enough there's loads more fun things to do in the Wasatch Range. There's wonderful hiking along the Bloomington Lake Trail; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Logan River. Summertime highs at Horse Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 30's; winter nights

Rex Reservoir is a fine lake in close proximity to Horse Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Limber Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Midland Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Horse Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lewis M Turner Campground is a delightful site | |

for that, and Peter Sinks is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit. Horse Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wasatch Range. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Wasatch Range.
If you need a site to stay Crystal Inn Logan is a pleasant choice, and you might also want to pay a visit to Amazon Hollow if you're here at Horse Lake. Beaver Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff. You'll need more than a
day to discover everything Horse Lake has to offer, you can camp at Red Banks Campground. Horse Lake is a location that is reasonably dehydrated ordinarily; of all the months in a year April is the one with the most rain, and the
driest of the months is July. A pretty lake like Little Bear Pond next to Horse Lake is a nice spot to take a look at, and there's whitewater on Blacksmith Fork for all you adrenaline kick people.

Limber Pine Trail
 | The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 11 miles away ...ngton Lake Trail and Bloomington Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge.
