    It's always fun to stop by Hopper Lakes. A nice place to camp here at Hopper Lakes is Brown Lake Campground, and Upper Goose Lake Dam is a place that is near Hopper Lakes. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Uinta Mountains. While you're here at Hopper Lakes you can take a hike along the Icy Hill Dugway, needless to say you could also go to Upper Goose Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors,  
   just come on down to Hopper Lakes. A lake close by is Goose Lakes, and at Hopper Lakes you always meet someone from Vernal.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Paradise Campground while you're here at Hopper Lakes, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Dry Fork Trail. Summer at Hopper Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's
 
               while the cold winter nights at Hopper Lakes are in the 0's. Hopper Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains.
The Uinta Highline Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Hopper Lakes; Marsh Peak is a peak you can make out from Hopper Lakes. It is very dehydrated here at Hopper Lakes mostly; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Uinta Mountains.

Little Elk Lake
That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that....

Chepeta Lake

Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake.  Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next.  The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since.  Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....
