There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Brian Head, and Vermillion Castle Campground is a nice local campground. Any time is a splendid time at Hoosier Lake if you love the outdoors. There are good locations to explore along the Spruce Trail, and hey, Hoosier Creek is a delightful local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Rattlesnake Creek Trail.       Pit Stop is a splendid campground nearby, and lakes are such serene places, why not explore Foster Reservoir. Go for a hike on the Alpine Pond Trail; you don’t have to go far from Hoosier Lake to make out the water at Foster Dam. There are other places here than Hoosier Lake, for example Robinson Reservoir; a splendid nearby hotel is Cedar Breaks Lodge and Spa. At Hoosier Lake you don’t see much rain; all through August this area sees the most rain, and                  June is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Hoosier Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Hoosier Lake drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
