This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Salt Lake City, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Mick Riley Golf Course is in close proximity. Hills Ponds gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly April, that's the one that rains the most, and January       on the other hand is the driest. Visiting California National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. The Lake Desolation Trail offers hiking at its best, and Alta is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. Little Cottonwood Creek is a fine whitewater spot in close proximity to Hills Ponds, and Snowbird has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping                  wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Cottonwood Creek, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Salt Lake City for sure. There's pleasant hiking along the The Sheep Trail, and you'll find a charming lake called Mount Olivet Reservoir. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Hills Ponds. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Hills Ponds dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
