Lake Hessie is pretty dry typically; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. On a great day at Lake Hessie you can take a hike along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail; there are plenty of folks from Evanston here at Lake Hessie. Lake Hessie is located in the Uinta Mountains. At Lake Hessie through the summer highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours       of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Lake Hessie. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Uinta Mountains. Sawmill Lake is a delightful lake near Lake Hessie; China Meadows Campground is a good local campground. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Lake Hessie is so good! You can run the rapids of Blacks                  Fork - West Fork in close proximity to Lake Hessie, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the High Line Trail. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Uinta Mountains is excellent!. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Lake Hessie, for example Bear Lake, and why not camp at Trail Head Campground while you're here at Lake Hessie.
