Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Blacks Fork - West Fork. Lake Hessie is located in the Uinta Mountains. Not much precipitation falls here at Lake Hessie; most of the rain falls through September, and January on the other hand is the driest. If you get bored of Lake Hessie, you could also check       out close by Bear Lake; Lake Hessie is a great site to visit for more than one day, China Meadows Campground is a great site to camp nearby. Trail Head Campground is a brilliant local campground, and a lake nearby is Sawmill Lake. Through the summer at Lake Hessie highs are regularly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Hessie plunge                  into the 0's. This site, the Uinta Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Hiking along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is glorious fun, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Blacks Fork - East Fork. So much amusing stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains, not sufficient time. This lake is so wonderful.
