This lake is so wonderful. The Winkel Bob Trail offers hiking at its best, and Hepplers Ponds is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, J R Munchies is a pleasant local campground. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Hepplers Ponds. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Deep Lake. There's so much to do here at Hepplers Ponds that you need to camp here for       a while, Mackinaw - Fishlake National Forest is a great site for that. Hepplers Ponds is right by the Second Lefthand Fork Trail, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Salina Creek. A delightful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites RICHFIELD; Maple Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. Hepplers Ponds is commonly a reasonably dry location; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while                  July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Hepplers Ponds reach the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hepplers Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. This is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes. Annabella Reservoir is a lake around here, and hiking along the Koosharem Guard Station Scrub Flat Trail is glorious fun.
