For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Heart Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Heart Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Heart Lake. Get       soaked paddling on Provo River, and Heart Lake is right by the Nobletts Creek Trail. Around Heart Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; February is when you get the most snow here, and June is when it's the driest. Neeley Basin is right here at Heart Lake, and Telephone Hollow is close by, and is a nice place. If you came for an overnight stay Mill Hollow Campground is a fine location to camp, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Littles Fork Trail.                  So much cool stuff to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too brilliant to be true. Camping at Heart Lake is good fun, Shady Dell Campground is a good local campground, and do take a hike on the Smith Morehouse Trail. All year is a good time in the Uinta Mountains if you like the outdoors. The summit of Buck Knoll can be seen from Heart Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Stillwater. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
