     Jackass Spring is always fun to check out; Hay Lakes is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Escalante State Park is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. A trip to Pacewell Draw is always fun. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hay Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Barker Reservoir Campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hay Lakes with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the  
   30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hay Lakes. At Hay Lakes you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest of the months is February.
And that's not all you can do here at Hay Lakes. Have a good hiking adventure along the Pollywog Lake Trail, and a pretty lake like Corner Reservoir is a splendid place to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Lake is a magnificent lake in the neighborhood of Hay Lakes; a pleasant
 
               tour to Hay Lakes Flat is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. Going for a hike along the Aquarius Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and a nice nearby hotel is Wonderland Inn.
One of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Hay Lakes is Lost Knoll, and hiking along the Black Burn Trail is nice fun. This lake is so wonderful.
