The Harmon Trail is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Gunnison Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gunnison Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Palisade State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Gunnison Reservoir is right next door to Gunnison Dam which is a picturesque spot definitely worth taking a look at, and if you need       a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Salina Scenic Hills is a great choice. A lake nearby is Palisade Lake, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Oak Belt Trail. There's so much to do here at Gunnison Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp is a great location for that, and why not take a little trip to Sixmile Creek since you're here. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do                  here at Gunnison Reservoir. An afternoon playing golf at Palisade Golf Course is always a pleasure, and dry warm beds await you at Manti Motel. Salina Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot near Gunnison Reservoir, and Ninemile Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Gunnison Reservoir is frequently a pretty waterless location; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while July is regularly the driest month.
