At Grimes Pond throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Grimes Pond are in the 10's. Camping at Maple Bench Campground is always a delightful experience, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Summit       Trail. Grimes Pond gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year April is the one with the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Drift down the rapids of Spanish Fork in a kayak, and going for a hike along the Nebo Basin Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. So many enjoyable things to do at Grimes Pond, so little time. Springville Days Inn is a fine location to get some rest, and if you come at the right time                  of year, Provo River offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Gladstan Golf Course; everyone close by loves skiing at Sundance. You'll meet a lot of people from Provo-Orem here, and a beautiful lake like Salem Lake is a brilliant site to go to. A great place to camp here at Grimes Pond is Wagon wheel Motel and Trailer Park, and Lower Pond is a great lake close by. This lake is so wonderful.
