It is very dried up here at Goring Pond usually; the month with most of the rain is April, and the driest of the months is July. A lake close by is Selman Reservoir, and lots of people from Logan come here. Yeah, come up here to the Wasatch Range for a nice time. Going for a hike on the Limber Pine Trail is always a tremendous adventure; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LOGAN is a splendid site to spend a night or two. All

You can run the rapids of Blacksmith Fork in the vicinity of Goring Pond, and Goring Pond is not the only site close by, Hansen Pond is a close by lake. day at, Red Banks Campground is a good local campground, and as expected Right Tony Grove Creek is a scenic stream that is worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Goring Pond without first going for a hike along
the High Line Trail; if you came to camp Lewis M Turner Campground is a wonderful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Logan River, and the best way to spend a winter
day is on the slopes of nearby Beaver Mountain. For the period of the summertime months at Goring Pond highs are mostly in the 90's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures
at Goring Pond dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. The Wasatch Range scenery is always beautiful.

 | The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 11 miles away ...e Trail and Bloomington Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon.
