    Gem Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. At Gem Lake you don’t see much rain; all through September this area sees the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
All year is a wonderful time in the Uinta Mountains if you like the outdoors. If you get bored of Gem Lake, you could also stop at nearby Bluebell Lake; during your journey here you'll meet some folks
 
   from Evanston for sure. There are fine locations to discover along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail, and you can stay the night at Swift Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the High Line Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Beaver Dam Campground is a good campground here.
For the period of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Gem Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the duration of
 
               the winter highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Gem Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Be careful coming to Gem Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Five Point Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here; get dripping wet paddling on Yellowstone River. So many cool things to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too pleasant to be true. A wonderful close by hotel is Altamont Motel, and everyone loves Garfield Basin.
There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Gem Lake called the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail, and whitewater paddling is fine on Lake Fork.
