    Beautiful Gatman Lake has much to offer visitors. If the weather is fine here at Gatman Lake, you can go for a hike along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail, and why not camp at Highline Trail Head Campground if you're here at Gatman Lake. A spree to Naturalist Basin revitalizes the spirit; if you need a spot to stay Altamont Motel is a magnificent choice. Gatman Lake is a beautiful lake in the Uinta Mountains.

   Uinta Mountains. While you're here at Gatman Lake you can take a hike along the Highline Trail. Gatman Lake is a location that is rather dry frequently; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Gatman Lake. The Skinner Cutoff Trail is a great hiking trail near Gatman Lake; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always  
               go whitewater paddling on Duchesne River.
At Gatman Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gatman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Gatman Lake is great fun, Butterfly Campground is a great local campground, and Blue Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. You clearly must go for the Uinta Mountains. On a pretty day you get a view of Mount Agassiz from Gatman Lake; a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Rock Creek.
